A space for the ceremonies, greetings, and transitions that give LEKA its cultural weight.

Categories to Develop

• Greetings — daily, formal, between specific relationships
• Naming ceremonies — when someone joins the community, or chooses a new name
• Welcomes — bringing chosen family into the fold (temra-mu moments)
• Farewells — leaving, parting, ending
• Transitions — birth, coming of age, partnership, loss
• Daily blessings — meals, mornings, sleep
• Seasonal — solstices, year-marks, anniversaries

Template for a Ritual Note

Each ritual gets its own note in this folder. Suggested structure:

# Ritual Name (LEKA name)

## What it marks
(birth, naming, welcome, etc.)

## When
(timing, occasion)

## Who participates
(speaker roles, witness roles)

## The Words
(LEKA phrases, with English alongside)

## The Actions
(gestures, objects, foods)

## Origin Story
(per the principle: nothing added without a story)

## Status
